Colours

Bag and flowers for Karen

I have always found that strong colours lift my mood.   A good friend of mine turned 50 last week.   I purchased a gift voucher from a place where there are hot springs.   (I always find that it is something you never buy for yourself)  On the front of the bag I have used the following quote:

'Don't walk in front of me,

I may not follow.

I also bought a yellow candle  (jasmine scent)   to place inside the bag.  The card was made using one of the photos I took.  

The bluey/green paper is by Cosmo Cricket (Tea for Two)  The roses on the bag and tag I picked up from the local craft store.

It's a good time to be in here updating my blog........  My daughter is in the kitchen inventing recipes.  I love the fact that she wants to create and invent, but told her that she can only do this on a friday.   It looks like cupcakes with jellybeans tonight. I think that she has also made cupcakes and put chocolate in the middle. This chocolate, hopefully should be a nice melting surprise in the middle.  (Here's hoping)

Easter Tag

Oh My Goodness!

I have finally started crafting again.  I have been missing in action for a while.  I have just not been in the "crafting zone" so to speak. We were away in January for three weeks, enough for me to lose any creative flow.  However , I did enjoy the wonderful break that we had. I hope that this is one of many posts.  I have been looking at "Our Vintage Affair" blog and admiring the tags in the "Easter Tag Challenge". I thought I might have a go at making a tag and see if I can find any more inspiration.  The tags that have been created by other bloggers are really lovely.  I have also just discovered  "A Rosy Note" blog and she has a "Photo Feature Friday" .  I have a new camera that was presented to me from my wonderful family (Early Feb) and I want to start experimenting. I am linking to this site as well.

Vintage Tag

Good Afternoon,

It is not too bad a spring day here today.   Hope you are enjoying your weekend.  I am entering the challenge at Our Vintage Affair.  You have to see some of the work entered. There are some really talented crafters out there.  I made the vintage tag to match Nans birthday card that I made here.  The photo on the tag is of nan when she was in her early 20's. A little bit of a pose for the camera there Nan! I also made a matching bag. As mentioned in a previous post  I was inspired by the bags made by Sherry  at Creations from my heart.. (She does some beautiful crafting)
